A Little More About US
In addition to real estate sales, I served 8 years in the U.S. Navy as a Data Systems Technician, worked as a defense consultant, and worked as a mortgage broker. I hold the GRI, and ABR Realtor designations, as well as a degree from George Mason University in Business Administration. I also have the ePRO Technology, the Certified New Homes Sales Professional (CSP), and the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) certifications. I am a member of the Real Estate Cyber Space Society (RECS).
Tricia has worked previously as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She has been a baby sitter and stay at home mom while working part time and later full time at real estate. She has completed numerous college courses related to real estate and the comprehensive Dale Carnegie Sales Course. We have both completed about a zillion hours of various in house Real Estate companies' training courses designed to help people buying a home or selling a home. Tricia currently works in the front office of Lanier Middle School in Fairfax City and helps me with real estate on weekends, evenings, and when school is not in session.
We have had three children go through the Fairfax County school system and consider Northern Virginia to be a great place to live and raise a family.
Besides real estate, our primary interests are doing things with our grand children, and entering contests and sweepstakes. I take classes and attend seminars throughout the year to keep up to date with the latest real estate trends, laws, and marketing tactics.
We are both volunteers with the Fairfax County Medical Reserve Corps.
I am an active member of American Legion Post 177 in Fairfax.
Proud to be an American
Our Fairfax county neighborhood near the City of Fairfax takes on a patriotic appearance every year over Memorial Day weekend when every house in Fairfax Villa and Cavalier Woods has at least one American Flag placed in front of it along the curb. We have been planting the flags every year for the past 6 years and plan to continue doing so as long as we can. A small card attached to the staff has our name and reads "Enjoy the day and remember those who helped make it possible". Romie served in the Navy, his father retired from the Army, and Tricia's father retired from the Navy.
We do not directly promote our real estate business with the flags, but they have opened up a couple of neighborhood doors for a listing presentation. We put out about 550 flags over a 3 hour time period with help from our 3 grown children, a grandson, and sometimes other family members. People often wave and say thanks when they see the flags being put in. A couple of times neighbors, who have had relatives die while serving in the military, have left emotional thank you messages on our answering machine.
